Nursery Social Responsibility (NSR)
At our Nursery we believe in educating an individual to be compassionate from a young age. We encourage children to be able to share with others. We help them be grateful for what they have and understand those who are less fortunate. We hope our efforts will leave a mark, and these children will grow up to be compassionate and understanding towards others.
Our nursery has developed a programme entitled “Nursery social responsibility” (NSR). As part of NSR, we teach children to be more compassionate and giving towards others. Children as young as 2 year old participate in this initiative. Every year we liaise with one NGO institute in our community to help develop social responsibility in our children.
Last year we worked with Dar Al Aytaam and the Animal Shelter. As part of this initiative, the nursery children were assigned tasks to collect toys & books for the orphans at Dar Al Aytaam and food for the animals at the shelter. They then paid visits to both organisations and donated their contributions. The donations’ programme was carried out throughout the year.
This year we have selected to work with The Tawasul Orphans Education Fund. This is a non-profit programme, which supports orphans in pursuing higher education in order to contribute positively to the UAE community.
Shoe Box Appeal - Oryx Nursery
As a part of our curriculum our students and parents worked together to design a shoe box and fill it in with basic items to support workers in UAE. We raised more than 100 shoe boxes which was delivered to one labour camp in Abu Dhabi.
Pink and Blue Day
Pink and Blue day at our nurseries supported cancer awareness, they did lots of exciting activities throughout the day and we raised a significant amount which will be donated to Friends of the Cancer Patient Under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Qassimi. We would like to thank all our parents for your kind donations
Look how excited the Children of the Building Blocks Schools are in Bangalore to receive their donated old school uniforms from the SEED Group. The schools teach children from 3 years to 5th Grade, who come from the poor slums in the area. They are currently planning to build a large school to help as many children as they can.
Mum Mum Supporting the Awladona Centre
The Awladona Centre improves with wellbeing of children in need of special care and supports both children and young adults with a range of learning issues. The Mission of the centre is to provide educational opportunities and encourages all of its students to become more selfsufficient.
Our Mum Mum crockery was designed using the artwork of a 17 year old student from the centre who said, “I may be different from other children but I am passionate, loving, caring and I want the whole world to know that even though I am special I am capable of doing what others can do”.
Our Nurseries supporting CADS, Cat and Dog Shelter, in Sharjah
We have worked with Animal shelter in Sharjah, where children spent time with and collected food for the animals.
Working with the orphanage
We then worked with the Sharjah orphanage, Dar Al Aytaam, where each child from our nursery was urged to create one “Goodies box” for one child at the orphanage.
Tawasul Fund Event
The children can bring anything they want to sell at this event. The objects can be bought by visiting parents & other children. The proceeds of the event will go towards Tawasul Fund.

Tawasul Orphans Education Fund, is a non-profit programme which supports orphans in pursuing higher education in order to contribute positively to the UAE community.
As part of our Nursery Social responsibility (NSR), we would like to teach our children the joy of giving, and compassion. Therefore, we aim to participate in one activity each year that can contribute towards one charity within our community. This year we have chosen the Tawasul Fund, because it will teach our nursery children the importance of contributing towards education of other children.

As part of NSR and our initiative 'By the Children for the Children', children from our nurseries; Seven Oaks British Nursery & Little Stars British Nursery, were present as well, showing their support for the campaign.
It was a fun day for the children & a proud moment for us to see our them participate in a great cause.
We worked alongside the RED CRESCENT to help to collect clothes, toys and games to be sent to children in poor and deprived countries.
Pink Day is something that the whole company does together. The Team at Mum Mum baked the cakes and the children in the nurseries sold them. All the money that we raised was given to the breast cancer awareness charity at the Burjaman Centre.
